Would you care to guess where we wound up today? In Fort Collins at the New Belgium Brewing Company! P and I were part of a group of 25 people who absolutely had to know and understand all about the beer making process! That doesn’t sound like me does it? For those of you who know me, gin & tonic, pinot grigio, anytihing Chateau San Michelle or Oban single malt Scotch would all be ahead of beer.

Any way before we even started the tour a brief conversation with one of the guides netted me a glass of beer with a hint of cocoa and hot pepper! A far cry from Coors Lite! As we proceeded on the tour each stop was going to provide us with an additional glass of NBBC’s products.
One of the attached photos is clearly a tray of tNBBC’s beverages. What you ask is the other? It is a shot of ceiling art in Brew House #2 made up of dozens of highly polished bicycle rims and mirror balls suspended by wire. NBBC actually gives each employee, on their 1 year employment anniversary, a bicycle! An emphasis on the company’s Green thinking.

Well I’m not embarassed to say that after the first two glasses we opted to depart the tour. I’m sure it was very interesting but not our cup of tea (no pun intended). Lunch was a better option at a delightful place recommended by J called Bissetti’s in Fort Collins. Creamy pumpkin bisque and a pasta dish with roast chicken and veggies in an alfredo sauce. Yummmmm.
